everything I did this year, absolutely everything, was ruled by my disability. but that's a good thing, it means I'm acknowledging it now and learning through it. this time last year I was giving up. at the beginning of this year my doctor described me as in a constant state of denial. 6 months ago I was pretending I could be the same person. recently I had to address the fact that I've changed. it happens, and it isn't a bad thing. it's difficult to lose something without gaining something, even just knowledge. I could sit and wallow in loss and pain until I'm blue in the face, or I could learn. anyone who really knows me can tell you I love to learn. so here's to learning! and a boring new years, please lmao.
