I never imagined the picture on the left being committed to Christ, happily married with a house full of gorgeous children, 7 to be exact. I was never exposed to happiness until my Husband walked into my life. It was like his feet were stuck every time he tried to run. His patience was irresponsible in the natural at times even I couldn't believe or understand it. During that time I do believe he hung in there for our oldest 3. But God had a plan ____ Jeremiah 1:5 Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations. I believe that my Husband's feet were stuck because his eyes always saw the picture on the right. He saw what I would become. He looked at me and saw something special and hung in there to see the manifested power of God in my life. That power consumed him and delivered him from smoking, cursing, clubbing and drinking in one day. When you look at your loved ones or the people in your life that look like the picture on the left. Pray for them. Speak life over them. Declare what you want to see until you see what God created them to be. Just because their purpose is delayed it doesn't mean it won't be fulfilled. The girl on the left had no idea that she would ever become the girl on the right.... The word “trauma” is used too loosely. There are children who have faced some traumatic situations. There are parents that have faced traumatic situations. But, the word trauma should not be used as a cover up for bad behavior. It is traumatizing raising disobedient children. It is traumatizing losing sleep because your teenage or grown children refuse to mature mentally. It is traumatizing watching your children receive “everything you did not have,” and not value or appreciate it. It is traumatizing watching your children flock to people (even relatives) that pretend to love them while secretly hating you. This is trauma. But the difference between parents and children is parents are built/equipped to weather the storm. It was the lack of resources and opportunities that forced them to mature and grow up at an early age. Parents do not know everything but parents know pain. Parents know trauma. If your child chooses trauma over triumph, remember that is their decision. The foundation has been set. Keep praying but do not forget that you too have a destiny and purpose to fulfill. I woke up this morning extremely thankful. When I reflect on all that the Lord has done and is doing in my life. I can't help but to wonder, what type of prayer did my Mom pray over our lives before she died. She was 26 years old, when the doctors gave her 6 months to live. She lived 7. In the beginning life was so hard without her. My life began to spiral out of control. Within months after she died. After being violated. I was no longer a little girl. I felt robbed, unprotected and not wanted. That lead me on a path that they say would ultimately destroy me. The people who my Mom loved and trusted the most spoke that I would be just like her. No husband with a house full of kids, but God. My Mom died saved at 26. My life started changing the moment I stop using her death as an excuse to be reckless. Instead I started using it as my opportunity. I started being honest with God and I asked Him to save me from myself! I told Him that I wanted to serve Him for real! The rest is His-Story!
