Unfortunately didn’t get in on the first restaurant because we thought we could do a walk in without reservation as soon as doors opened, but they were booked 🫣 but that’s okay, when it doubt Thai it out and that’s what we did. Tito’s Taquitos is opening their brand new restaurant in Beaverton very soon! You might be wondering what will happen to their food cart at Breakside. Well, from the creators of Tito’s Taquitos comes Alita’s, a cart dedicated to chicken wings inspired by the flavors of Mexico! 🍗🇲🇽 When I heard about their new concept, I knew I had to try it out. You can choose from bone-in chicken wings, boneless nuggets, gluten-free cauliflower, or vegan wings. They offer an amazing variety of sauces with flavors of tamarind, habanero, chile de árbol, Valentina, and more. The sauces are ranked from mild to hottest, but even the chili-lime chimichurri has habanero as a garnish and were very spicy. 🥵🌶️ They also serve delicious potato wedges and coleslaw made with roasted jalapeño and corn. Is anyone else a night owl? While my days of staying up past midnight are behind me, those late-night snack cravings still hit hard. Portland may not have many late-night spots, but The One Chinese BBQ Restaurant is a true gem! Open as late as 1 AM on some nights, they serve up an impressive array of Chinese BBQ skewers. 🍢 Their menu offers a wide variety of options of meats, seafood, veggies, and more, so there’s truly something for everyone. The skewers are cumin-forward and were very flavorful. My favorite was probably the pork belly. Honestly, though, everything I tried was great. That said, I’d personally pass on the mini bun next time.
