it took me longer to find an audio for this than it did for me to actually draw it (it didn't) /
#idependonyou #squidgame #squidgameseason2 #frontmansquidgame #player456 #player001 #player1 #457 #456x001 #gihunsquidgame #gihunxinho #gihunandinho #inhosquidgame / i could post the speedpaint for this but it would be 1.5 hours of me tryna figure out how tf to draw them in this style. legit i was gonna try to style them to resemble their live-action counterparts but could not get their hair or anything right for the LIFE of me. so i just added their numbers and called it good :P i see 457 as a one-sided thing where in-ho was fascinated with gi-hun after seeing his performance in the first set of games, and then even more interested when gi-hun actively sought out the squid game personnel in order to shut down the games. the games had been going on for a while before gi-hun played, so there were obviously players who won beforehand, and it's likely that they all simply used their prize money for paying off debts or buying luxury items whereas gi-hun only tapped into it to do what he knew the other 455 players would've wanted. so in-ho is fascinated by gi-hun's personality and resolve, and the line between that and infatuation is so blurry that he crosses it without even noticing. he wants to get closer to gi-hun to figure out who he is as a person and why he joined the games again, why he wasn't satisfied with the original money, why he was so deadset on killing off the games. he then begins to genuinely enjoy his time within the games, and although he does purposefully put stress on the others for the sake of shiggles (spinning top & first round of voting), he seems to actually like spending time with gi-hun and even some of the other players. he's often looking at/touching/talking to gi-hun, trying to figure him out. gi-hun is far too focused on stopping the games to notice and simply doesn't see in-ho in any sense other than platonic; he does see him as a friend, though, and got very upset upon hearing of his "death". if gi-hun finds out about in-ho's identity as the front man, i doubt he'll be very happy at all, and it definitely won't help in-ho's chances of being friends/partners with him, but he also doesn't seem to care. i think he got what he wanted out of being in the games as a player, as even though he did develop relationships and trust with certain players, he didn't want it to go so far as to actually stop the games. when he decided that gi-hun had had enough fun, he shut it down and killed off his player persona. (additionally, why would in-ho let gi-hun's plan/ideas go on for so long if not to see him happy or excited that he might actually shut down the games? maybe it was just so he could see how gi-hun's brain worked, tapping into the fascination again, but in-ho could've easily done that from the sidelines like he had in the first round of games with gi-hun.) he also asks gi-hun to buy him a drink after they're done, and he looks genuinely upset and resentful when gi-hun asks his best friend to go with him instead of in-ho. overall i see 457 as a very very toxic relationship, but if in-ho had genuinely changed for the better while in the games with gi-hun, i believe it might've worked out, at least platonically. gi-hun seemed to enjoy his company and in-ho definitely enjoyed gi-hun's, so it wouldn't be shocking that they'd continue to interact outside of the games. of course, our world isn't perfect, and therefore in-ho is still a bad person. the yaoi must be toxic and one-sided in this universe. maybe in another one, gi-hun would depend on in-ho, the same way in-ho depends on him. @The Ngh Girl •Multifandom•
