#PlayWithYourKids encourages joyful bonding through play, fostering creativity, imagination, and communication. It promotes fun activities, strengthens relationships, enhances learning, and supports emotional development, enriching both kids’ and parents’ lives.
Parents say it all the time: "I'm trying to give my kids what I didn’t have." "My health went downhill after having kids." But doesn’t it feel like a complete oxymoron to say, "I want to give everything to my kids," while letting your health—your most important gift—fall apart? Here’s the truth: The problem isn’t that parents don’t want to give their kids everything. It’s that we’re trying to give them the wrong things. You don’t need to kill yourself in the office to buy them more toys. They don’t want more “stuff.” What they want, what they’ll remember, is you. Your time, your presence, your energy. Kids don’t speak the language of words—they speak the language of actions. What does it say to them when we sacrifice our health and ability to move, play, and be with them? I realized this early on with my son. My goal isn’t just to be there for him. It’s to stay strong, mobile, and vibrant into his adult life. To show him how to age with grace, capability, and vitality. That’s why I make it a point to follow him in nature, do pushups with him on my back, and play sports with intensity every day. Most of us stop rolling, crawling, jumping, climbing, and playing when we become parents. But it’s not because we can’t. It’s because we choose to stop. Becoming a parent isn’t about diminishing yourself or sacrificing your health to give your kids things you think they want. It’s about doubling down on what’s actually important—your health, your energy, your presence—so you can show up in meaningful ways. Here’s the kicker: kids don’t actually need as much as we think. They adapt to our mindset and circumstances. They don’t need a bigger house or more toys. They just want you. So, here’s the challenge: How can you get on your kids' level today? Maybe it’s 5-10 minutes of crawling on the floor, rolling around, or just playing how they want to play. Let me know in the comments: What’s one way you know your child would love for you to play with them that you haven’t done yet? Let’s make this happen. For them. And for you. #Parenting #HealthAndFitness #StrongParents #PlayWithYourKids #primalplay #PresenceOverPresents #vitalitypatenting #strength
