There’s a few reasons why we see less plus size vintage than straight sized: 1. Just like today, not every clothing retailer made plus sizes. 2. Because of this, plus sized garments tended to be worn more often, and more loved. 3. Because clothing was made to a higher quality back then, garments could last generations. It is easier to alter plus size piece to fit smaller, but smaller pieces are usually not able to be altered larger. 4. It’s much easier to find smaller sized vintage because those are the pieces that DIDN’T get worn out and reused through the years. The next time someone tells you plus size people and their clothes didn’t exist back then, kindly point them to the nearest library or museum. Blessed Winter Solstice! 🕯️❄️✨ What are your plans for the holiday season? My partner and I are staying in and having an ultimate cozy staycation week. We started off yesterday by deep cleaning our apartment as we do every solstice, and also spent time shopping for gifts and checking out all the holiday light displays with a friend. I see a lot of movies, reading, games and crafting in our future 🔮🥰 There won’t be a new collection for the rest of the month, but there will be something BIG happening this week!
