With my second baby about to arrive, there’s so much I’m doing differently this time that I wish I’d prioritized as a first time mom.  Even now, there are things I already know I’m going to do a better job of prepping for if we are blessed with more babies in the future! One of the biggest + most important lessons I’ve learned in motherhood, is that your baby needs YOU far more than any item, piece of baby gear, or trend. That’s why a lot of the items on this list that I recommend aren’t “baby things” but rather investments you make into yourself during pregnancy, birth, & postpartum.  You as a mother are quite literally equipped with everything your baby needs to thrive, give or take a comfy sleeper & maybe a diaper😉 It’s so easy to let ourselves be convinced that we need thing after thing after thing to mother our babies properly. Don’t get me wrong, there are plenty of items that can make life much more convenient… but really your baby just needs YOU!
