I WISH someone had taught me the 5-5-5 rule before having a baby, and especially after having my 3rd. We have a “hurry up and recover!” mentality in America and we need to take a pause and reevaluate the consequences of that on our mental and physical health postpartum. The key to being successful with 5-5-5 is having a support person that understands their role to allow you to be able to have this recovery time- so whoever that person is for you, send this to them! ❤️ #pregnant #pregnancy #pregnancyjourney #postpartum #postpartumtips #postpartumrecovery #firsttimemom

THINGS I DID IN MY POSTPARTUM THAT ACTUALLY WORKED (and the one thing I kept doing that totally didn’t) I let myself accept help. No, not just the “let me know if you need anything” type of help. I straight-up told people exactly what I needed—like holding the baby while I showered, folding my mountain of laundry, or delivering tacos to my door. People want to help, but they don’t know how unless you tell them. I prioritized nutrition over convenience. Listen, I get it—grabbing chips and coffee is way easier when you’re drowning in spit-up and sleep deprivation. But fueling myself with real, nutrient-packed meals (shoutout to Mama Meals!) made such a huge difference in my energy and healing. And you can save on them too—use my discount code VIBRANT at checkout! Want to try them? Click the link in my bio to check them out. I made a flexible routine, not a strict schedule. Instead of stressing over wake windows or timing naps perfectly, I focused on patterns—eat, play, sleep-ish. Babies are wildcards, and trying to control every second just made me feel more anxious. I let the house stay messy. Dishes in the sink, toys everywhere—it’s all part of this season. Instead of wearing myself out trying to keep it Pinterest-perfect, I focused on the important stuff—like connecting with my baby and sneaking in rest. I said YES to babywearing. I wore my baby pretty much all day (I’m convinced I could’ve done an obstacle course with her strapped to me). It kept her calm, gave me free hands, and gave me the closeness I needed to feel grounded. I prioritized postpartum supplements that kept me feeling human. The Magic Magnesium Power Pair is my go-to for mental health and energy. I also love Greens from Boobies (use code VIBRANT for a discount!) and my favorite protein shake from Prestige Labs. These made a huge difference in how I felt physically and mentally during recovery. You can find the links for all of these in my bio. …and the one thing I kept doing that didn’t help? Scrolling Instagram late at night. Oh, the doom scrolling. Seeing moms with their perfect postpartum glow, spotless houses, and jeans on at 3 weeks postpartum (HOW?) didn’t inspire me—it just made me feel worse. I finally started setting my phone down and focusing on what my postpartum looked like. Want the links to all my postpartum wellness must-haves? It’s called the 5-5-5 Rule! ⬇️ The 5-5-5 rule for postpartum is a guideline that emphasizes rest and recovery in the first few weeks after giving birth. It suggests: 1.	5 days in bed: Spend the first five days primarily resting in bed, focusing on bonding with your baby, breastfeeding (if applicable), and allowing your body to begin healing. 2.	5 days on the bed: Transition to spending time on the bed or couch but still prioritize rest. Avoid heavy activity and allow others to help with household tasks. 3.	5 days near the bed: Gradually increase light activity, but stay close to your resting area and continue prioritizing recovery and self-care. This approach underscores the importance of slowing down during the postpartum period to heal physically, emotionally, and mentally. It also provides a framework for honoring the need for support during this time. #childbirth #childbirtheducation #postpartum #birthtips #postpartumtips #newmom #creatorsearchinsights

Try this stretch for some back pain relief after carrying around baby all day! 👩🏼‍🍼 Here are more tips for back pain relief! 1️⃣ Mind Your Posture: Sit upright while breastfeeding or holding baby—use pillows for support. When lifting, bend at your knees, not your waist! 2️⃣ Strengthen Your Core: Gentle exercises like pelvic tilts or bridges can rebuild your core & ease back pain. Slow and steady wins the race! 3️⃣ Heat or Ice It: Warm compress = muscle relief. Ice packs = fight inflammation. Use what feels best! 4️⃣ Keep Moving: Short walks or stretches work wonders for tight muscles. Avoid sitting or standing too long. 5️⃣ Support Tools Matter: Invest in a baby carrier with lumbar support or a nursing pillow. Your back will thank you! 6️⃣ Stretch It Out: Gentle yoga poses like Cat-Cow or Child’s Pose can ease tension and improve flexibility. Comment POWER for more postpartum help! 💕 You’ve got this, Mama! Take care of your body while you take care of your baby. 💪✨ #PostpartumTips #NewMomLife #BackPainRelief

Feeling off postpartum? These 5 signs might mean your body is crying out for minerals. Fatigue, muscle cramps, mood swings, insomnia, and dehydration—sound familiar? Postpartum recovery takes more than rest and water. Your body needs minerals like magnesium, potassium, and sodium to heal, hydrate, and balance your hormones. Don’t let a mineral deficiency hold you back from feeling your best. Want to know which minerals every postpartum mom needs? Struggling with breastfeeding? It might not be you—it could be your baby’s tongue or lip tie. These ties can impact your baby’s latch, milk transfer, and even your milk supply. Here are some signs to watch for: 👶 Baby has trouble latching, makes clicking sounds, or seems fussy during feeds. 🤱 Mom experiences sore nipples, blocked ducts, or a dropping milk supply. The good news? With the right support—like a lactation consultant or a simple frenectomy—breastfeeding can get easier. If this sounds familiar, don’t wait to seek help. Breastfeeding shouldn’t hurt!
