INSTRUCTIONS
  * Line baking sheet with parchment paper.
Place chocolate chips in medium sized microwave-safe bowl. Melt in microwave for 1 minute. Stir, then continue to melt 30 seconds, stir again and continue in 15 second intervals until completely melted and smooth. * Pour chocolate (reserving ¼ cup) onto prepared baking sheet and spread evenly. The remainder of the chocolate will be drizzled on top (optional). * Add pretzels to chocolate layer, pressing them in. It’s okay if they are not in a single layer. * Place caramels and water into microwave safe bowl. Heat for 1 minute, stir, then continue to heat and stir in 30 second intervals until smooth.
Drizzle caramel over pretzels. Drizzle remaining chocolate on top. (You may have to reheat for 10-15 seconds if sitting for awhile) Refrigerate for 20 minutes or until hardened. Cut into pieces. *
NOTES
You can use chocolate melts instead of chocolate chips if you prefer, just follow the instructions on the package.

I used Kraft caramels, which require water to melt.  Caramel bits are another option if you can find them.  No unwrapping.  Melting caramel can also be done on low in a saucepan.  Follow brand package directions for melting.

Store in air tight container in refrigerator for up to 5 days.

Yearly traditions are the best 🙌 ~Ingredients: •½ bag of mini pretzel twists •1 bag of chocolate chips (2 cups) •1 cup of brown sugar •2 sticks of butter (1 cup total) ~Directions: •Wash your hands. •Preheat your oven to 350° •Then line a large baking tray with aluminum foil and lay a single layer of pretzels down. Fit as many as you can without one on top of the other. •Place the brown sugar and the butter in a small saucepan on medium heat. Stir until the sugar is dissolved. •Turn the heat to medium-high until the mixture is starting to bubble and becomes a thicker caramel texture. •Put a small amount of the caramel into a cup of cold water to check for the desired texture. (i prefer crunchy over chewy) •Remove from heat and pour the mixture evenly over the top of the pretzels (don’t worry if every single pretzel isn’t covered). •Bake in the oven for five minutes. •Remove from the oven and add the chocolate chips over the top. (If you like your chocolate chips well-melted, you can put them back to the oven for roughly 10-15 seconds. the longer you cook the chocolatethe less it will spread). •Leave them to cool for a few minutes before popping them in the freezer for two-three hours. •Take the tray out of the freezer and cut/break them into bite-size chunks. Quick tip: For the best result, eat right after they come out of the freezer as they are nice and crunchy. Left on the counter for too long, the coating will get softer and start to melt. This Caramel Pretzel Bark is one of the most delicious things I have ever eaten. It is so addicting and always the number 1 request of the year from my husband, kids and teachers... even the bus driver!! I have to hide it from myself when I make it otherwise I will sit and eat the whole batch. Merry Christmas and Happy Baking!!! 🎄🤤 #pretzelbark #baking #treats #delicious #christmas #gift #musthave #tradition #pretzels #chocolate #butter #brownsugar #Recipe #ingredients #Foodie #snack #treat #mom #momof3 #momlife #bluecollarwife #sahm #MomsofTikTok #happybaking #foodtiktok #FoodTok
