Last night I was watching a @BoonieBabies video. They had my pup Nova out for a training sesh (thank you!!!) and came across a stray dog. Not uncommon. Saipan be like that. Aria made a video about encountering a stray on Saipan. How dogs have been bred to be our companions, and even when stuck on the streets, many still want that. They are wired to be our partners. She left a disclaimer - that there is no place to bring strays on Saipan, so don't even go there 🤣 But of course, the comments came. You just left it there?! Take it to a shelter! Take it to a rescue! Take it home! Call a vet! The shaming, the guilt. It gets exhausting. Saipan has.. One govt shelter One rescue No vet. The nonprofit clinic @saipanhumanesociety rehabs a few dogs at at time. @boonieflightproject followers fund their care and flights off island 🥹❤️ cuz there are no adopters here. (We love you guys!) We simply cannot take home every dog we see. They are everywhere. We would have legit thousands of dogs at our house. I wish I was too naive to understand that 🥲 Want to help? Like, comment, share, save our post. This helps boost the algorithm so we can reach more people ❤️ And of course, Www.saipanhumanesociety.org/donate
