Currently waiting for the arrival of these babies. Due dates can vary pending on when they conceived, or if they bred naturally how many times they tied. We do an xray after day 55 to not only count the puppies we can plan to expect, but to help us see their gestation and get a little more of an estimate of when to expect them. Please do not consider breeding if you do not have good intentions! Breeding is not for making money. Prior to breeding a full series of health tests should be done on both the sire and dam, along with titles earned. Many vet appointments should be done as well including brucellosis testing, progesterone testing, ultrasound, and xrays. Then vetting the puppies as well. Not to even mention the time away from work while waiting for the babies or the first week or two of them being born, and all the time you’ll be spending performing ens, esi, potty training, cleaning, socializing, etc. Research the breed you may be interested to insure the fit is right for you, then start communicating with breeders and look for someone to buy and use as a mentor to help you get on the right foot.
