Cleaning the 9ft Pier Mirror is turning into quite the adventure—turns out, some gilding doesn’t want to be touched! As I started scrubbing off decades of dust, I realized it’s actually taking off some of the gilding too. But hey, it’s all part of the process, right? I’m embracing the imperfections as part of the mirror’s history. In the middle of that, I got distracted and started cleaning this vintage fire extinguisher I found (I think it’s from the 70s 🤔). It’s one of about 6 I have in my carriage house, and let me tell you, it’s a whole vibe. 🧯 They don’t make ‘em like they used to!
