I’ve noticed a common theme specifically with the higher stack plated trainers which is that many of them need 20-25 miles on them to really loosen up For the most part running shoes don’t need breaking in anymore because the materials are just different. The foams are softer, the uppers aren’t leather, etc. For some reason though when you throw a plate into a chunky stack then everything feels just a little stiff Im glad I’ve stuck it out in these through a few wears, let me be clear, it’s not that the first few wears were bad, it’s just that the shoe was stiffer than I would have liked. Today though they felt perfect for what I needed. That’s why I like to put 40-50 miles on a shoe before I do my final review, it’s not the first time my opinion has changed (for better or for worse) and it certainly won’t be my last
