Save this to learn your own ski maintenance! If you want to wax your own skis you’re gonna need four things 1) ski wax. There are different waxes you can use for different temperatures, but I’m lazy so I just use all temperature wax. 2) a waxing iron. I got mine for about $50 at REI. Different waxes will have different temps they’re supposed to be melted at so it’s important to have an iron that lets you choose specific temps 3) a scraper. Mine is a plastic one, but they also have metal ones. In my experience it makes very little difference which you use 4) a brush. These come with nylon, steel, and a couple other types of bristles. If you wanna get fancy you can get a whole set and use all of them one after the other on the skis, but I just use a nylon one and it works fine It took me a couple tries to get decent at this, but now it’s a super quick process and it saves me a bunch of money every winter.
