When we got the call about Miss Piggy, we were told she was on death's door—left to die after enduring the horrific consequences of irresponsible breeding. She arrived at our ranch in unimaginable condition—pale, septic, malnourished, and on the brink of collapse. Miss Piggy was carrying two puppies, the last survivors of a litter of seven. Sadly, those puppies, too weak to thrive, passed away shortly after arriving. 🙏 Her bladder was dangerously enlarged, the size of a small bowling ball, and it was on the verge of rupturing. As we welcome 2025, we’ve witnessed a powerful, yet heartbreaking miracle. In Homestead, Florida, a mother dog named Princess and her 11 puppies were found in unimaginable conditions—living under a house, surrounded by dirt, debris, and filth. They were starving and fighting to survive. When they arrived at Big Dog Ranch Rescue, they were bathed, their tiny bodies cleansed of fleas and dirt, and for the first time, they were given a meal that filled their empty bellies.
