I am really frugal and love saving money anywhere I can but I also value eating well and eating quality food. That’s why we get our meat in bulk from a local meat market. It’s definitely a big cost upfront, but it ends up saving us so much over time! This time, we spent $2,200 and purchased a whole hog and half a cow (This is double the amount we normally buy), and it should last us about 18 months. That works out to about $30 a week for high quality meat—and yes, we eat it every day, including steak at least once a week! I always get questions about what we buy and how much, so I’ve listed all the cuts and amounts below. Do you buy your meat in bulk too? I’d love to know how it works for you 🥰 (All steaks are 2 to a package) 8 pkgs New York Steaks 8 pkgs Boneless Rib Eye Steaks 8 pkgs Top Sirloin Steak 8 pkgs Cube Steaks 7 Chuck Roast ( 3 - 4 lbs each) 4 Rump Roast ( 3 to 4 lbs each) 4 pkgs Stew Meat ( 1.5 lbs each) 80 lbs Ground Beef 10 lbs Ground Beef Patties 14 Packages Pork Chops (4/pkg)
