On Friday the SeaWorld Rescue team, completed the first return of 2025, successfully reintroducing two female sea lions into the ocean at Camp Pendleton! Both having been rescued separately this past December, the adult was treated for pneumonia after she was found tremoring by lifeguards at Solana Beach. The pup was rescued in Point Loma after being observed for several days both isolated and underweight. After receiving medical care by the team at SeaWorld rescue, both sea lions were deemed healthy enough to be safely returned to their natural habitat, with Camp Pendleton being chosen as an ideal location due to its undisturbed setting. We are proud of this work by the SeaWorld Rescue team and look forward to another successful year of supporting marine animals in 2025! 💙
