The key is to have good quality fold over elastic — not the kind of FOE they use for baby’s hairbands. You need lingerie quality FOE - which we carry and ya’ll buy like it’s toilet paper in 2020. Here’s how to sew it— 1️⃣ Sew strips of fold over elastic by folding in half and sewing as close to the edge as possible. Use a straight stitch. 2️⃣ With wrong sides facing, pin bra cups to frame. 3️⃣ Sew bra cups to frame. Use a straight stitch and ¼” seam allowance. 4️⃣ With the *right* side facing up, fold the bra cups so that the bra cup seam allowances are pointing in one direction and the bra cups and frame are pointing in the other direction. 5️⃣ Place the FOE/channeling over seam allowance with the left edge of the channeling extending past the wire seam line 1/8''. Before sewing, do a quick check and make sure that the channeling is oriented so that it will be flipped *down* towards the frame. This is the correct orientation. 6️⃣ Sew the FOE/channeling to the cup seam allowances *only* approximately 1/8'' from the left edge with a straight stitch. 7️⃣ Trim seam allowances to 1/8''. Fold FOE/channeling down towards the frame and sew 1/8'' from the right edge. For this step, sew through all layers.
