Chest vibrations, also known as chest physiotherapy or percussion therapy, are techniques used to help break up mucus in the lungs, making it easier to cough out. These techniques are often used for individuals with respiratory conditions like bronchitis, pneumonia, and most commonly cystic fibrosis. You can either do 1. Manual Percussion Performed by lightly clapping the chest or back with cupped hands. Focus on specific areas of the lungs to loosen mucus. Done while the patient is positioned to allow gravity to assist mucus drainage (postural drainage) 2. Vibration Therapy Gentle, rhythmic vibrations are applied to the chest wall using hands or a mechanical device. Helps mobilize mucus toward larger airways for easier clearance. ****Disclaimer***** The information I share is for educational purposes only.
