🌟 3 HUGE Mistakes I made when I first started meal prepping 🌟 1️⃣ Trying to do everything in one day. ❌ When I first started meal prepping I tried to do everything in ONE DAY. ✅ Now I use my 3 Day Method for Meal Prep ➡️ Day 1 is for planning and grocery list. ➡️ Day 2 is for shopping. ➡️ Day 3 is for prepping. 2️⃣ Making too many meals at one time ❌ When I first started meal prepping I figured, Go big or go home! Right?! WRONG! So I tried prepping 30 recipes in one day so I was good for the whole month. Not only was this WAY to much food, but it was WAY to many recipes. I had no strategy and ultimately my first attempt failed. When you start any new process it takes time to get your systems in place. That means the first time you do something it will likely take 3x as long as the second. ✅ Start small, with 1-3 meals. If you like it add some more. I find the sweet spot if to prep meals every two weeks. 3️⃣ Not embracing raw freezer meals ❌ When i first started meal prepping I wanted to have all my “fresh” food prepped and in the fridge. By day 3-5 meats go bad, or get dry. Veggies are starting to wilt and I end up wasting a lot of the delicious food I had planned, prepped and put so much time into. ✅ When I started to incorporate raw freezer meals all the food was guaranteed to stay fresh and delicious giving me to flexibility to use and needed, or not use when I don’t. Eliminating so much food waste and providing me with less stress to use it all up. ➡️ Want a DFY meal plan so you can skip straight to the prepping part and test out this process for yourself?
