I'm salty! Now that the house looks pretty good (in the common areas) we have no shortage of people suggesting that we did it wrong, we didn't save enough original woodwork or architecture, and more or less just assume that we took a perfectly good house and ruined it. Obviously, I don't feel that way, but if you buy an old house that's already been stripped, there's not much you can do.
