Replying to @crow the magnificent Best way I can put it: Chemical menopause = PMDD with some relief Surgical menopause = relief with some PMDD For me, chemical menopause was really just another hurdle I had to jump through to get the surgery. It wasn’t the “relief” I hoped for, but the small windows of relief that I DID get, showed me how much my hormones were keeping me down. It’s such a complicated process because PMDD and all of its mechanisms are SO complicated. But chemical menopause was small relief, that wore off each month, only to bring me into mess of PMDD and heavy periods.
