It’s the easiest thing to say you’re going to do, but the toughest things to do in practice. Treat your low, let your snack kick in, and be patient. You will be much happier when your number ends up in range. 2. Giving up on a day if you have a bad blood sugar. For example, you miscalculate a meal and you have a high blood sugar. Instead of punting the day and quitting and letting everything about diabetes fall to the wayside. Remember the ARM acronym: Acknowledge, Respond, Move on and get your number back in range as fast as you can. 3. Thinking certain foods are impossible to have with great blood sugars. This goes for any crazy restaurant meal, desserts, etc. With the right preparation, you can have ANY food while keeping yourself in range (I had a massive milkshake that was over 200g of carbs and never peaked about 140).
