Taking out my dreadlock extensions always makes me so sad. I have to look at the real me in the mirror (without my dreadlock extension armor) and sometimes that is hard…but it also makes me excited for what is coming next. My goal was to wear my Eras 2.0 set into 2025 to ensure that I rang in the new year with my happiest self and that meant having happy hair. Now that we are settled in 2025…I had to acknowledge the loops at my scalp yelling at me that it was time for removal... but I LOVED wearing these and have gotten so many sweet messages, comments, and requests for custom orders and also for help from people ready to make their own sets. Let me just say that I am so proud of you and happy for you if you are braving this and are trying something new! I wish you the greatest success and am over here cheering you on! Make your dreams come true. It will be worth it! PS I will be trying something a little different on my next install…any guesses or requests as to what I have planned? #dreadlockextensions #dreadlocks #curlydreadlocks #dreads #fauxdreadlocks #temporarydreadlocks #locs #dreadlockjourney #syntheticdreadlocks #syntheticdreadlockextensions #curlydreads #wavydreads #temporarydreads ##dreadlockremoval #doubleendeddreads
It has been less than 48 hours without my dreadlock extensions and I just feel like I am in an emotional slump! Maybe it is the weather. Maybe it is because I have a terrible cold. Maybe it is because school starts back up on Monday and everybody is home and climbing the walls. Maybe it is a little bit of a metaphorical holiday hangover. Maybe it is all of those things. It probably is. But I know the quickest fix. And that is to get more extensions into my hair ASAP. Few things make me feel as happy as looking in the mirror and LOVING my hair. So…I just got some new hair today and am off to get creative! Stay tuned! PS how have you fared this holiday season? Are you holding up okay? It can be a very emotional time. If you ever need a friend to listen…feel free to bend my “ear,” okay? I love hearing from you. And it doesn’t have to be about hair. Let’s connect! #dreadlockextensions #hairextensions #wavydreadlocks #curlydreadlocks #temporarydreadlocks #dreadlocks #dreads #locs #dreadlockjourney #syntheticdreadlocks #syntheticdreadlockextensions #curlydreads #wavydreads #temporarydreads #doubleendeddreads
Who remembers the good old days and nights of 80’s carnivals? Rock and roll absolutely blasting from the Himalaya?! Colored lights flickering and flashing with screams and squeels coming from every direction. Dang that was fun. I can still smell the funnel cakes, corn dogs, and cotton candy. We played simple games and won prizes like rock band carnival mirrors, records, and stretched out and corked pop bottles filled with colored water. There were feathered roach clips, too! We used real, pointed darts to pop the balloons! And paid with nothing but the quarters and little cash we had squirreled away in our shallow pockets. Ahhh the good old days. They just don’t make cool stuff like that for kids anymore. Apparently glass and paraphernalia prizes are frowned upon now. And what is cash?! Oh well. It was good while it lasted. I did find some very pretty modern-day hair feathers for you, though. No roach clips…no. These come with wig clips. How very 2024. What was your favorite attraction at the carnival? I liked the ferris wheel. Do you miss those days? Or are things better now? If you were just a twinkle in the 80’s…do you think you would’ve liked that era? Tell menyour thoughts in the comments! PS “When You Close Your Eyes” was a hit in 1983. I was only 9 years old and in 4th grade and my view of the world was so small. I was probably barely tall enough to ride the Himalaya (and I was probably too terrified to, anyway). #dreadlockextensions #syntheticdreadlocks #syntheticdreadlockextensions #curlydreads #dreadlockstyle #hairfeathers #wavydreads #curlydreadlocks #dreadlocks #dreads #locstylesforwomen #80sflashback #temporarydreads #temporarydreadlocks

Eras 3.0 making it’s debut. This is a custom order headed to Rhode Island. It is 50 (+3 extras) curly double-ended synthetic dreadlocks with some braids. I also added in a feather accessory because…I mean…look at it. It goes beautifully. I have this exact hair and feather accessory linked in my bio via linktree. I always love making this set. I just quietly work and allow myself to swirl in my memories and I think of all of the magic I have lived since making my first Eras set. I feel like a very lucky person to have had those experiences. Making hair like this has changed my life. Have you noticed that I haven’t posted recently? It is because I hate the way I look without them. When my locs are in…everything is better. I want to get dressed and put on makeup. I want to go out. I want to engage. I am confident. Without them…I wear sweats or jammies and a gross ponytail. I don’t put on makeup. I don’t want to go anywhere. I don’t want my picture taken. Truthfully…without them…I am a little miserable. BUT…now that this set is done…I will focus on my own hair and wil <hopefully> be back to myself very soon ❤️🌹❤️#dreadlockextensions #wavydreadlocks #curlydreadlocks #temporarydreadlocks #dreadlocks #dreads #locs #syntheticdreadlocks #syntheticdreadlockextensions #curlydreads #wavydreads #temporarydreads #doubleendeddreads #fauxdreadlocks #braidindreadlocks #ombredreadlocks
