Who remembers the good old days and nights of 80’s carnivals? Rock and roll absolutely blasting from the Himalaya?! Colored lights flickering and flashing with screams and squeels coming from every direction. Dang that was fun. I can still smell the funnel cakes, corn dogs, and cotton candy. We played simple games and won prizes like rock band carnival mirrors, records, and stretched out and corked pop bottles filled with colored water. There were feathered roach clips, too! We used real, pointed darts to pop the balloons! And paid with nothing but the quarters and little cash we had squirreled away in our shallow pockets. Ahhh the good old days. They just don’t make cool stuff like that for kids anymore. Apparently glass and paraphernalia prizes are frowned upon now. And what is cash?! Oh well. It was good while it lasted. I did find some very pretty modern-day hair feathers for you, though. No roach clips…no. These come with wig clips. How very 2024. What was your favorite attraction at the carnival? I liked the ferris wheel. Do you miss those days? Or are things better now? If you were just a twinkle in the 80’s…do you think you would’ve liked that era? Tell menyour thoughts in the comments! PS “When You Close Your Eyes” was a hit in 1983. I was only 9 years old and in 4th grade and my view of the world was so small. I was probably barely tall enough to ride the Himalaya (and I was probably too terrified to, anyway). #dreadlockextensions #syntheticdreadlocks #syntheticdreadlockextensions #curlydreads #dreadlockstyle #hairfeathers #wavydreads #curlydreadlocks #dreadlocks #dreads #locstylesforwomen #80sflashback #temporarydreads #temporarydreadlocks
