Happy Thanksgiving! 🦃🍽 🍁 I hope you had a great holiday week spent with people that you love. We had a very busy time, with traveling and then hosting, but it was very fun and filled with love and special moments. We didn’t get many pictures, and none of all of us together, but this is what we did get. Zoe LOVES this time of year best, and she always looks forward to “Thanksgiving food,” (mashed potatoes and gravy) and “eating with my own plate like everyone else.” To be clear, she’s ALWAYS welcome to have her own plate of food in front of her to feed herself, but she rarely is open to that. I’m not sure why, but because she feels that way, we usually feed her. She gets practice when she’s willing, and she’s gotten much better at it, much more coordinated and less messy. But we aren’t going to let her go hungry because she has an aversion to feeding herself, so we feed her most of the time. But at Thanksgiving, especially, she wants to have a full plate like everyone else, and she wants to feed herself just like the other kids do. And I love it. I love knowing that she can, and that one day, when she decides she’s ready, she will. She also got to accompany me for a little Black Friday shopping for the first time this year. Abby came with me for the first time last year.
