Moving into 2025, I want to create a law that ALL siblings must be present & agree on a POA when your LO is sick & does not have a POA in place. No sibling should have that much control, especially when it goes against what your LO is requesting. To think as long as a lawyer & a witness deems your LO is in the right state of mind when signing, it is a done deal. It took me over a year of fighting to pull my mom out of the 💩 care she was placed in. She had early onset dementia & those years were precious & taken from us as I watched her be placed in & out of pysch units authorized by the POA. We all want the best for our LO. Let’s do something about it! In my situation, the POA resigned rights after the insurance policy, life insurance, retirement was spent down, house was sold, ect is disgraceful. But I didn’t care, I took my mom in & she lived out her life with my family!
