THRIFTING GOLD 🥹 I found this iconic piece for $15 at my local thrift store. I somehow left it there the first time I saw it but couldn’t get it out of my head so of course I went to pick it up the next day! The transformations was actually so much easier than I expected thanks to @SCOTT® Home and Auto Shop Towels! # sponsored Here’s how i did it 👇🏼 (check link in my bio for supply list!) + used krud kutter to clean off the piece with #ScottShopTowel + sanded off any remaining finish with 120 grit + used oxalic acid/hot water solution remove water stains, then neutralized with a water/baking soda solution + cleaned the chrome with a diluted vinegar solution. Pro tip: take you #ScottShopTowel and put it inside the tinfoil and crumble it into a ball. Dunk it into the solution and lightly scrub the chrome! + applied one coat of medium brown wiping stain + used blendal sticks to cover up any blemishes I couldn’t get rid of with the oxalic acid + applied medium brown toner to further color correct + sealed with several coats of satin lacquer! Tell me what you think… what would you pay for this?!!? And HELP! If you didn’t notice, one of the drawer pulls is missing.
