It is flooded, 33°F, and snowing! Today, I am grateful that we had a flood notice in advance. This is one of the five most significant floods this area has ever had. Our last major flood 2 1/2 years ago was a complete surprise and occurred overnight. It caused massive devastation and significant loss of life. For this flood, we were notified a couple days in advance, which gave a lot more time to prepare. We don’t know yet the extent of the damage or potential loss of life, but a flood of this size certainly has caused a lot of damage.
