The diesel did awful in the cold weather, all the drinks in the vehicles froze over, our 6 year old fell through a frozen lake, we got stuck in the snow, and one of vehicles even caught on fire 🔥... but The truck eventually started, the drinks thawed, aunty pulled Beau out of the lake, a little tug and we were free from the thick snow, and the fire was out out before anything really bad happened. You know what else happened? • we danced with the ❄️ snow flakes ❄️ • cannon balled into the thick piles of fluff ⛄️ • held 🌈 Rainbow rocks • ran with the Buffalo (ok, we actually drove next to them as they ran) • saw a baby fox playing in the snow • witnessed giant ✨️ glittering trees🌲 • got a 1st hand experience for the massiveness of what an elk really is • had a thousand laughs • and added countless new stories No matter how much you plan, SOMETHING will go "wrong". It's been 2 years since we sold our home to travel and spend more time together on the road. 2025 will be the year where we choose a place to settle in, at least for a little while.
