Save this for your next Southwest road trip ⬇️ White Pockets is located in the Vermilion Cliffs area (Northern Arizona). It’s about half way between Page, AZ and Kanab, UT📍 This place is hands down one of the wildest landscapes that we’ve seen in our lives 🤯 Unlike The Wave (which is actually just down the road a bit) there’s no permit required and anyone can visit here at any time 🎫 So what’s the catch??? Well… it’s the drive… you’re looking at a good 2 hours once you get off of highway 89 and turn onto House Rock Valley Road. It’s a drive that you will without a doubt need a 4x4 with high clearance to get through 🛞 We knew that there was absolutely no way that our van could make it so we went in with some friends and rented a 4x4 Jeep Wrangler. We used @jeepbnb in Page and had a GREAT experience 🛻 It’s a long and bumpy road with deep sand in spots but we made it just fine. There was no need for us to air down the tires and we didn’t get stuck at all. It’s a rough drive but honestly worth every bit of effort 🫶🏼 Once you get there you will see a parking area. This viewpoint is just a short walk from where you will park your car 👀 There’s lots and lots of space to walk around and explore. Since this place is so remote and so spread out it’s incredibly easy to avoid others the entire time that you are out there. Our suggestion is to give yourself at least a couple of hours to explore 🚶🏼‍♂️🚶🏽‍♀️‍➡️ Heads up… there’s absolutely NO facilities out here so be prepared to pack out your trash.
