Yes, this improves breathing. It also increases vocal resonance. It also naturally restores the true shape of the body, by releasing undue tension and fascial restrictions—I’ve experienced this firsthand and witnessed the transformation in others. I was attracted to Block Therapy, because it is very similar to the Chi Kung training technique called Counterpressure Breathing. Normally, your teacher would apply pressure with his fists/body. But, on your own, you can utilize your hands (to lesser effect) or objects like a wood block/yoga block + gravity (my personal preference) 😁👍🏽 I’ve worked with Deanna Hansen and Quinn Castelane (both featured in the colored pictures) personally, and I believe their work can benefit any singer (in addition to improving overall health).
