THE BTS OF THE BTS - or the director’s commentary if you will. TikTok won’t let me post the full edit, but it’s on my Instagram 🤭 In honor of kicking off my 2025 season in Cancun and Cabo these next two weeks - here’s some insight into the creative process behind my last wedding in Mexico! Janna and Marcus were incredibly detailed when it came to how they wanted their day captured and I loved every moment of this creative process with them. A shot list, preferred song choices, a video guest book, specific video inspo, and so much more were discussed and finalized a month out from the celebrations on a Zoom call. I made a list of all the visual shots I wanted to capture on the day of, as well as certain prompts to give J + M and guests to capture audio to blend together with visuals in their edits. I wanted each video’s song choice to match the energy of each edit, through beat-synced timing, video layers, and use of instrumental and vocal portions of each song I edited everything on my desktop @capcutapp and performed 1-2 revisions on each edit, per the couples’ requests. Aside from the day-of content, the edits are always my favorite way to continue to allow couples to relive the day just as it happened - energy, ambience , and everything in between. I also loved adding in touches, like their wedding logo, to close out the edits for a less abrupt ending. So excited to return to Mexico (and escape the cold for a bit) over the next two weeks - and I can’t wait for more creative opportunities in 2025!
