HUGE NEWS FOR TINY GUY TUESDAY ENTHUSIASTS: the beloved Florida Lined Seahorse from the previous #tinyguy Tuesday reel has left their mangrove leaf for greener pastures… Which so happened to be our guide Alessia’s paddle, which she was using to anchor herself in place during the video! 🛶🤳 Since seahorses aren’t very strong swimmers, they use their tails to anchor themselves to things like seagrasses and crab pots to stay in one place. This juvenile Kemp’s Ridley turtle was transferred from the New England Aquarium to the Center for Wildlife Rescue for ongoing treatment and rehabilitation. It originally stranded in early December in Cape Cod due to a cold-stunning event and was diagnosed with pneumonia. A CT was performed to monitor its pneumonia, and is currently receiving treatment. Since arriving, the turtle has shown encouraging signs of recovery—it’s more active, gaining weight, and eating well! As we continue to track its recovery, we’re looking forward to preparing this turtle for its return to the its natural habitat. Going over commands with our smart boy, Amow! Teaching him basic commands will help with tasks such as leashing him, doing educational presentations, and taking him to the vet. Wolves are extremely intelligent animals and can learn very quickly, much quicker than the average dog. Amow picked up on commands very well.. it’s just a matter of him choosing to do them or not 😅 Wolves have no desire to please humans, unlike dogs. It’s funny to tell a command like “come,” watch him turn his head back, look at directly at me, and then continue doing what he was doing. Almost as if to say “umm..
