When I first pitched my game Potions: A Curious Tale, I received no publisher interest. It wasn't until the game was complete and had already proven its audience that anyone was willing to take notice. This is the reality many women founders face-not just in games, but across industries. Women founders receive just 2% of venture capital funding, despite making up nearly half of all startups in the U.S. This funding gap doesn't just hurt women-it holds back innovation and the economy. Founding teams that include women outperform others by 35% ROI. Yet, the bar remains much higher for women to prove their ideas are worth investing in. We can-and must-do better. Investing in women isn't just the right thing to do, it's smart business. Today, I'm joining 1,000+ women and allies to raise awareness about this systemic issue using hashtag
#TWOPERCENT. Let's amplify women's voices, celebrate their achievements, and push for the systemic changes needed to close this gap. Change won't happen overnight, but together, we can create greater visibility and drive real progress. Let's ensure that all founders-regardless of gender-have equal access to the support they need to bring their ideas to life.
