“This isn’t my last chance to eat.” Someone shared how that simple phrase… Helped them overcome cycles of restriction and binging. For many people, they don’t control food… food controls them. Food becomes an obsession. And unfortunately, the fitness industry tends to make things WORSE. All the focus on calorie counting, “clean eating,” and even on body weight in general… ...can create a really unhealthy relationship with food. That’s why I don’t believe in excess restriction. Sure, don’t inhale twenty donuts or down 10 extra-large cokes in one sitting. That’s just common sense. But no one needs to feel like it’s their last chance to eat donuts, or chocolate, or ice cream, or pizza, or cookies, or whatever they want. There can always be a place for these treats. After my clients know that, a lot of the pressure goes away. And eating better becomes almost effortless. So if food has been in control, I invite you to see if this phrase helps: “This isn’t my last chance to eat. I will get to enjoy anything I want at some point.” And if you’d like to work with someone who can help you create an even healthier relationship to food while also hitting your goals… Then message me with how you can get started!! • • • • • • • #yoyodieting #healthyliving #fatlosshelp
The health community comes with a lot of toxicity that tends to be praised. Most people don’t even know what a true healthy relationship with their body and food looks like. Restrictive diets, food fear, exercising for hours a day, weighing constantly, never allowing yourself to enjoy food. All in which create shame and guilt. Winnie the Pooh speaking so much truth 🥺 A little reminder that you never have to earn food. You are always worthy of love and care. Your body deserves nourishment every single day. Something I remember hearing from Brene Brown is that shame cannot survive when being spoken and met with empathy. One of the first steps to healing your body is a realization of what is happening inside your mind & the toxic thoughts that consume you. If we can heal our mind we can heal our relationship with food. You can’t heal a body you hate so don’t forget to love the body you live in. • • • • • • • #yoyodieting #fatlosshelp #newyearseve
