“After a strong storm inundated communities across Western Alaska over the weekend of Aug. 16, residents are bracing for the arrival of the remnants of Typhoon Ampil, the third storm to hit the region in a week.” ~ Reported by KYUK. 08/22/24 12 am ~ We’re ok so far here on the west coast but some villages may have been impacted much worse. I was a tad worried with all the rain we’ve been having majority of July and all of August causing high water on top of what Typhoon Ampil would bring. We’ll see by morning if there are any changes.

We believe the wood comes from the Yukon River and makes its way up to the west coast of Alaska
