Mainly because the house always feels so cluttered especially because our living room is also the playroom so after Oliver has got all his new toys and struggles to find space to play with them we like to have a sort out. Bathroom cleaning hacks you may not know 🧼🫧 although, if you’ve followed me for a while there’s a high likelihood you do already know them 😉 All of these along with so many more can be found in my book - ‘The 5 minute clean routine’ which I have linked in my bio 👆🏼☺️ 1. Remove & prevent mould in your shower by mixing 1 cup of bicarbonate of soda, 1/2 cup of hydrogen peroxide and 1tsp of washing up liquid. Once applied, let sit for around 20 minutes and then scrub away 2. You can clean and prevent your bathroom mirrors from fogging by buffing them with shaving foam (shaving foam can be used for so many other cleaning jobs too!) 3. Remove hard water stains in your toilet by gently rubbing them with a pumice stick. Pumice is a soft stone so this will not scratch but always ensure to rest a small patch first and scrub gently in circular motions ☺️ . Bathroom cabinet upcycle on a budget! ✨ What do you think? I LOVE how these turned out! I will put all the links in my bio and here’s a step by step guide for anyone looking to do it themselves: 1. Clean the Surface: Remove dirt, grease, and dust from the cabinets with a mild cleaner. Let them dry completely. 2. Remove Hardware: Take off cabinet handles, and hinges for easier application. 3. Measure and Cut: Measure each cabinet panel and cut the contact paper slightly larger than needed to ensure full coverage. 4. Peel and Stick: Start at one corner, peel the backing, and apply the paper slowly, smoothing it out with a squeegee or credit card to avoid air bubbles. 5. Trim Excess: Use a sharp utility knife to trim any overhanging edges for a clean finish. 6. Reattach Hardware: Once the vinyl is secure, reinstall the handles and hinges. . Ours aren’t perfect, there’s a few dodgy corners as we’re not professionals 🤣 but I absolutely love how they turned out! It’s given the room a lovely earthy feel 🥰 . We live in a hard water area so almost as soon as it’s clean it’s covered in limescale again 😩 but here are the gadgets that make it far more enjoyable and best of all get it done quickly! 1. Sonic scrubber - this comes with different attachments so it can be used for all those hard to reach areas and the ones you’d rather not touch! 2. Window vacuum - prevents mould in the shower by drying surfaces and leaves everything streak free. 4. Steam cleaner - uses steam to disinfect surfaces without the need of chemicals.
