A post by @azruddinmohamedofficial on TikTok caption: A Mohamed gifts electric bike to G/T man who lost both legs in accident 24 years ago Mr. A. Mohamed recently gifted an electric bike to 64-year-old Herbert Grant, a resident of Norton Street Lodge, Georgetown who lost both of his legs 24 years ago in a motorcycle accident. The accident took place in 1980 when Herbert was just 25. Despite two decades of frequent hospital visits and surgeries to save his legs, they were ultimately amputated. To cover his medical bills, his parents had to sell a property shortly after the accident. Despite these hardships, Herbert remained resilient, continuing to repair electric generators, water pumps, and other equipment to provide for himself and family. Prior to receiving the electric bike, he used a makeshift manual bicycle to get around Georgetown and serve his customers. The father of one expressed his heartfelt thanks to Mr. Mohamed, saying the bike will help him reach his customers more quickly and efficiently.
