Did anyone else see the the 3 Black Hawks a little while ago. They flew right over my house. They took off from Hammond and looks like they headed to St Francisville. Paw Paw got the call today informing him that heaven got another Angel this morning. We met Mr Lindy and and his wife Mrs Ann Cannon shortly after we arrived in Montreat back in September. There was no power and we were told about a man that was on an oxygen machine. Paw Paw immediately walked to their residence where he assessed the situation. He then went back to the lodge where we were staying and brought a generator back to their house and got Mr Lindy’s oxygen machine going again. He was in bad shape but began to improve once the oxygen machine started working again. Paw Paw and the Cannons became family that day. Mr Lindy told Paw Paw that he was an Angel that the Lord sent to save him and that he did. Over the course of our stay Mitch would check on him daily. After a while Mr. Lindy’s health and mobility slowly declined and today the good Lord finally took him home. Please keep his wife and family in your prayers as they lay him to rest. They have finally gotten Lake Susan dug out the way she use to be in Montreat. Won’t be long til she is filled with water again. Slowly but surely WNC is getting put back together. These guys rock. Literally! The river has been put back in its original channel now they are putting in the road beds. It is probably 20’ plus of rock and about 2-3 miles long.
