A lot of you guys wanted more details about the studded boot. So here’s the info I have for you: The boots themselves are Scoot Boots from @scootbootsdownunder 🐴 So are the small ice studs that you can remove from the boot. For heavier winters and mixed ice/snow footing, we use a winter stud (not a grass stud, this is important!) and fasten it with an impact nut. Winter studs are usually from Mustad or Tunahaken. Size is usually 9mm stud with an 8mm screw. I think that equals to about 3/8” for the stud, and 3/4” total. For the studs I use, the impact nut is size M8. I can buy these at Norwegian tack stores; but also at the hardware store. Depending a bit on where in the world you live, you might also be able to find a large boot stud version from EasyBoot. This is a bit easier to use, but more expensive. For the large studs, I recommend to use 4-6 in each boot. I sadly cannot help you find stores that sell this in your country, but I am sure you can find it online through some Google searches. Your farrier might even be able to help you 😊 Any more questions? I’ll do my best to answer!
