(Garret said this on his instagram story, I'll quote what he said at the very bottom). - Basically Kieran's story was that he was hiding the fact that he's gay out of shame and fear (mind you, he was born in the worst possible century to be gay in 🗿) so he used his powers to chase after a mimic of love which lead to him building up his collection of hearts. - This went on for centuries until he started visiting Monster High and after Drac's 1600 fiasco, Kieran met a mentor and found whisp (gigi grant's sister) and he did his best to learn how to deconstruct his mindset for good. - This is when he meets Spelldon (his love interest). Races had been done in secret until it was brought to the monster high students where the idea was embraced. Clawdeen Wolf: had been racing her whole life. Is "the fastest ghoul in school" but when the races were still discreet, everyone thought that label was referring to her speed on the running track. Started when she drove cars so her brother could chase them around when they were younger. She was the one who brought racing to the monster world. Kieran Valentine: joined the races after he ended his hobby of stealing hearts. Wanted to feel the thrill of a chase again and he found that in racing. He was able to reconcile with the ghouls during the races and became casual racing buddies with Clawdeen. He bumped into Spelldon at the races. Venus McFlytrap: was heavily against racing because of the gas emissions that it contributed to. That was until she was told about a phantom fuel that originated in the ghost world that acted as regular fossil fuels but with zero environmental harm. After working with Spectra, Venus was able to incorporate phantom fuel in race vehicles. She started racing to show that phantom fuel was as efficient as regular fuel. Every racer in Monster High now uses it for their cars. Mouscedes King: flies in from Boo York for the races. After getting tired of the slow traffic of the city, she discovered a love for racing. Toralei was the one who introduced her to the races and has been teaching her in private. She now lives a double life between being city royalty and being a midnight racer.
