Replying to @MakeitSweets Blueberry biscuits 🫐 (Can be made with or without unfed/discard sourdough) Ingredients: -1 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
-2 1/4 tsp baking powder
-Pinch of salt
-Couple teaspoons of sugar or honey
-1 cup yogurt (I used vanilla)
-1/2 cup unfed/discarded sourdough starter OR 1/2 cup more yogurt
-blueberries
-melted butter to brush on biscuits
Glaze:
-1 cup powdered sugar
-2 tbsp maple syrup
-1 tsp vanilla extract 1.Preheat oven to 375F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper 2. Add flour, baking powder, salt, sugar or honey, yogurt, discarded sourdough starter or more yogurt and mix. Knead into floured surface just until it comes together, don’t over work it. You can add more flour if needed. 3. Add blueberries and work the dough slightly to incorporate berries. Frozen or dried blueberries are easier to use than fresh, but anything works! 4. Split dough into equal pieces, I think I ended up with around 12 or so. Lightly roll into ball and plop onto baking tray. They can be imperfect. 5. Melt butter and brush over top of biscuits, then bake for about 15 minutes (you can add a couple more minutes if they don’t look quite done). 6. Mix together glaze ingredients while the biscuits bake 7. While the biscuits are hot, dip them in the glaze or drizzle over the top. You can also just eat them by themselves!
