I met an incredibly special cat who is a true survivor. I can’t wait to tell you more of Minnie’s story (coming soon! Stay tuned!). In the meantime, it made me think a lot about how I get cats who have experienced significant trauma to trust me and open up. The first step is something you might have seen me do over the year called the “Cat, I love you.” Next up is an offering of sorts, like my go-to, @Inaba_churu. It all comes down to (in order): consent, trust, acknowledgement, and reward.
