follow me on IG for more: @jasminescozydiary i’ve had quite a lot of interest regarding poe’s meals; what he eats and how i feed him. it’s actually a super simple process, as you can see. i don’t feed poe in his fancy enclosure. i can and have a few times in the past but he seems to enjoy his feeding time better in the small, clear enclosure. i previously attached some very thin mesh over the ventilation holes of the clear enclosure using hot glue because i learned through error that mealworms and flies are sneaky little things and can escape through them. 🙃 unfortunately, my phone died right as poe went in for the mealworm so i wasn’t able to capture that part for the video. foIIow me on lG for more: @jasminescozydiary making my rechargeable candles look more realistic. as you all know, i have SO MANY faux candles around my home, as i love the ambiance the provide. i’m obsessed with look of the trickled down melted wax that comes with real candles though—it gives off a much more cozy vibe. i decided it was worth a shot to see if i could create that look on my faux candles + i feel like they turned out so well! i’ll absolutely be doing this to the rest of the ones that i have around my home. ____________ if you’d like to give this a try, here’s what i did: (this has the potential to get a little bit messy so i used an old box as a drop mat) i carefully dripped wax from the taper candle along the outer edges of the faux candles—making sure to focus the majority of the drips along the front where the curves were. the faux candles came in three different sizes so i added more drips to each candle as they went down in size to give the illusion that they had been burned more. once i was done creating the drips, i was left with obvious bumps along the edges so i took a blow torch to them while slowly rotating the faux candle to soften and finalize the look.
