Rocky's lawyer Joe Tacopina told jurors in his opening statement that Jamal "A$AP 12vvy" Phillips will testify to this. Before the jury got in on Tuesday (January 28), Judge Mark Arnold asked Tacopina is he plans to produce the prop gun. Tacopina said no. Things got heated in A$AP Rocky's trial in Los Angeles this morning (Tuesday, January 28) before the jury got in. Deputy District Attorney John Lewin complained to Judge Mark S. Arnold that Rocky's lawyer Joe Tacopia screamed at him and challenged him to a fight last week. Los Angeles County Deputy District Attorney Paul Przelomiec gave the prosecution's opening statement in rapper Rakim "A$AP Rocky" Mayers's assault trial on Friday (January 24). Video from surveillance cameras in the area the night of the Nov. 6, 2021, shooting near the intersection of Hollywood Boulevard and Vine Street in LA shows Rocky with what appears to be a gun as he and Terell "Relli" Ephron push each other. The shooting, however, is barely visible in a far corner of the video. Prosecutors have another video that doesn’t show the shooting but includes audio of apparent gunfire. They also have text messages between Rocky and Reli setting up the confrontation. Przelomiec showed the videos during his opening statement. Jurors will see them again through witness testimony. Trial continues Tuesday before Judge Mark S. Arnold in Los Angeles County Superior Court. Rocky's lawyer Joe Tacopina will continue cross-examining Sgt. The audience was cringing all over the place this morning in A$AP Rocky’s trial as lawyers and even the judge said the n-word (with an a) while referencing text messages being used as evidence in trial. The first round of it happened during a discussion that wasn’t live streamed, but I was in the courtroom for it and Rocky’s lawyer Joe Tacopina, Deputy District Attorney John Lewin and Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Mark S. Arnold each said the word, and it happened again when Tacopina was cross-examining alleged shooting victim Terell “Relli “Ephron. Rocky eventually spoke up as Tacopina and Relli went back and forth. Rihanna was in the courtroom today for A$AP Rocky's trial! She didn't enter the courthouse in downtown Los Angeles through a public entrance like Rocky does. Instead, she went into the underground parking garage. She was sitting in the courtroom between Rocky's mother and sister when I walked into the courtroom. Court started about 10 a.m. PST and ended about 12:30 p.m., and she was there for all of it.
