El Maestro del Café ☕️ My abuelo, the hardest-working man I’ve ever known, has shown me that life’s routines—like his morning coffee—can be a grounding force through the chaos. At over 80 years old, he continues to inspire me with his work ethic, his resilience, and his ability to find joy in the little things. Through this series of photos, I aimed to capture his essence: • The quiet start to his day. • The ritual of brewing coffee, hands steady and strong. • His moment of reflection in the mirror, a reminder of the years that have passed yet seem frozen in his gaze. • And finally, the peace he finds in his routine—a cup of coffee and the morning news. This project, shot entirely on film, pushed me as an artist. It’s not the technical quality that stands out to me but the emotion, the connection, and the fleeting moments that can’t be replicated. Observing him without distractions, with only the click of the shutter to capture his world, made me feel something I’m not sure I could have in digital. To my abuelo, mi maestro, thank you for the lessons, the love, and the reminder to always find the joy in the everyday. 📸 Shot on Kodak P3200 Tmax
