📍Tate Britain Museum, London Few artists mean as much as John Singer Sargent does to me. His mastery is so unparalleled and I was such a fangirl when I was younger and studying painting. I mean, I say that as if I don’t fangirl over it still 😭 And HOW!! How did they get the clothing and fabrics and outfits?! I want to know and thank them. I sometimes wonder if we as artists just sit in a museum all day… can we osmosis the work into us? That’s why I love studying at museums. 📍Sketch, London Europe part 3! So I've seen these viral tiktok egg toilets all the time and now, I've finally seen them with my own two eyes, even the workers who dress up as French maids to clean them..... I can't believe it's real- what isn't pictured in the video is the fact that there are SO many other restaurant spaces within this one venue. Lil’ behind-the-scenes, from the digital → to the traditional. When painting the final piece, I’d leave out swaths in white so I could repaint back in details and use fluorescent highlighter to get the piece in-person to look just as bright as it looks digitally. Kinda funny how it used to be traditional that informs digital, and now it’s the other way around 🤡 Now I totally know that I’m posting this after the exhibition has concluded, but I just couldn’t bring myself to post anything last week in regards to world events. However, I do not want to take away from the fact that so many artists made so many AMAZING pieces, there are absolutely stunning pieces in the gallery. Even Elijah Wood came and bought one of the pieces there! ✨ The print is still available for purchase online as we enjoy the lasssst vestiges of fall. Someone once asked me why I decided to do art as a profession and I said “whatever will allow me to learn how to draw anime OCs in the best way possible” and I stand by that 🙌 Lacie is @meekoful’s OC and oh my gosh, I’ve known Lacie for so long, she and my rabbit OCs are practically childhood friends. I know people who still dearly love and draw their OCs every single day and they are some of the happiest artists that I know. I remember one of my friends who told me that after years of professional work, it’s hard to draw something from imagination or without reference, and I felt myself falling into this as well. But looking back on my old sketchbooks, I reminded myself that, wow I was drawing without reference for years; if I could do it then, I can definitely do it now. Hopefully that encourages you to give some more love to your OC’s in the next few days! 💖💖💖 And yes.. that angel…. was drawn by yours truly at the brilliant age of 11. #ocdrawing #traditionalart #animecommission

My personal favorite drink out of the 4, was the pandan blue latte. It tastes SO good and I’m usually very skeptical of blue food. I had reached out to Thank You Coffee about the idea for them catering and when they told me they were able to make a blue drink, I literally was SO excited 💙💙💙 A HUGE THANK YOU! To everyone who came and and showed up, like, I was absolutely floored 🥹 It made me really delighted to see the drinks in everyone’s hand as they were standing in line, or just walking around, or even if they just stumbled in!
