I had to let the background dry before continuing so let me know if you want to see Part Three. Do you think I kept this background? Thank you for all your comments on the first video! I started this painting last summer when I was still pregnant. I didn’t finish it until months after my baby was born. My paintings represent community and have themes of motherhood, family, and honoring our ancestors. I believe that people see what they need the most out of my paintings. Part One! Sharing the process for my second diptych painting. I had these two canvases in my studio for over a year. I really liked the gradient backgrounds but I wasn’t quite sure what to do with them. Back in January, one of my paintings was featured in an exhibition “On Her Shoulders” - a Celebration of Women. I was inspired by that theme and created these paintings with it in mind. And since it is Mother’s Day weekend in the US - there is no better time to share these paintings. #paintingprocess #artworks #satisfyingart
