In 2020, when the world was shut down, we downloaded this fun little app called TikTok because we wanted to see what all the fuss was about. We began documenting our lives and home projects in our little 1972 fixer-upper home. Something that began as a lighthearted pastime quickly turned into so much more. In January 2021, we got our license and launched our home remodeling business. This hobby of ours was no longer just a dream on paper, it was our passion and it was really, actually happening. By the end of 2021, we had renovated our entire home and brought you along with us. A couple of viral videos later, we had over 750,000 of you here. What an HONOR. Shortly after, we sold our little fixer-upper home and moved into this big old building in the heart of downtown. Our family and our business have flourished ever since. We have completed project after project after project and still have plenty to go! None of this would have been possible without you or TikTok. We watched our lives change before our very eyes as God took the impossible and made it possible. Some days this doesn’t feel like real life, but I know one thing’s for sure: this has been the journey of a lifetime. If TikTok is banned next week, I hope you know how incredibly blessed we feel to have been even a small part of your lives. We hope you learned something from us and that maybe we encouraged you to pick up a power tool or two. We will still be on other platforms under the same username, but it just won’t be the same without this space. So here’s to TikTok. Here’s to growing through the toughest of times and coming out stronger on the other side. Here’s to you, our second family. We are forever thrilled that you chose to come along with us on this adventure. Love, The Richardsons
