diy projects around our home in 2024 🤎 when I look back at 2024 it’s easy to feel like I achieved almost nothing. it’s tempting to compare your success and productivity to everyone else’s 2024 recaps— but while I hold myself to some expectations for 2025, I try not to be ashamed of 2024. even if this video was just one DIY, I would still be proud of it. here is to being proud of all you did in 2024, and proud of all you’ll do in 2025, too 🍾✨ #diyhomedecor #diyhomeprojects #bathroommakeover #nurserydecor #neutralaesthetic #organicmodern #budgetdiy #easydiy

1.Paint 🎨 I wanted a pink kitchen and it was hard to put that first coat on but once I did I was super happy I did. Only needed one gallon. 2. Hardware Now Ill be honest. I didnt switch out the silver hinges, I just painted over them. It was something I could live with, personally. I will likely switch them out one day though. I DID, however, switch out my silver handles for gold ones. Literally obsessed with them. 3. Countertops I can’t afford new butcherblock countertops but I wad pleasantly surprised with how nice the mock wood peel and stick looks over the counters. There’s even texture that mimics wood. Probably my favorite part of the kitchen project tbh. 4: Tile and wallpaper Again, too broke for real tile rn. Stuff is expensive! Maybe one day. For now still on my peel and stick journey and it works for me! Again, the texture just makes it seems so realistic. Now, I wasn’t sure what I wanted at first. You can see on the left side I experimented with wall paper and on the right I used the tile…turns out I love them both and so both of them stayed! (I decorate my home for me, not anyone else. 5: Decor Everything circled is thrifted! Also, add baskets for organization, and every kitchen needs candles, plants, and nice cutting boards imo (Marshalls has awesome ones) I also got my rugs from either Marshalls or Burlington. Very cheap. 6: Next in this kitchen project I plan to add a new farmhouse sink to match the gold cabinent handles. So excited for this. My best advice I can give to homeowners is to just go for it! Dont get so hung up on resale value that you live in a home that doesn’t feel like yours. Anything can be painted over and your home is GOING to appreciate in value this day and age. Make the barbie dream house. And also, it takes time. I’ve been in my house for 2 1/2 years and it’s nowhere near where I want it to be! The journey truly is better than the destination. ♥️ Yall wanna see my bathroom updates next#Lemon8 #fyp #kitchen #update #housedecor #homedecor #homeowner #DIY #diyprojects #homeprojects #budget #decoronabudget #budgetdiy #paint
